Meet Jim – Our Founder

AssuredEntry is now Jim’s passion and focus, providing security services to locals in the Henley area whilst helping out the community around him.
Want to know more about Jim? Here are a few key questions that he has been asked by clients, locals, and friends.
Where did your love of Locksmithing come from & what made you decide to go into this industry?
Many IT Security professionals take up lock picking as a hobby, as they like to know how things work and how to bypass them. It is an exercise in puzzle solving. I just took it to the next level as it is interesting, you can help people and it helps towards the bills.
What has been the highlight of AssuredEntry so far?
Being able to offer a tangible service to our wonderful key workers during the COVID 19 crisis. I was able to help a doctor and his family in particular as the lock has totally failed and his wife and kids were locked out whilst he was at work.
What are your ambitions for the company?
To be the go-to local locksmith where I can offer a personal quality service to my customers.
What is next for the company?
We are moving into the smart home and CCTV arenas. This means we will be able to offer a more holistic approach to security and be able to offer solutions that make people’s lives easier.
How did you find lockdown & how have you bounced back?
We were only doing free work for key workers during the lockdown, so did not earn much monetary wise, but we did feel good about being able to do something positive. Since the loosening of restrictions, we have been flat out, which is great.
Finally, Jim gave his three top tips to local homeowners on keeping their homes safe.
Be alert. There have been lots of opportunistic thefts from sheds and garages. Do not leave high value goods in these if possible.
Get your doors and windows serviced. Doing this can prolong the lifetime of these for years and save you the high cost of buying them new.
Ensure that your locks and security measures are in line with what your insurance policy requires. If they are not, your policies may be void.
